about

This as the 2nd movement of Mahler's Symphony #1 when the symphony was originally published. Mahler removed it from the Symphony in 1896, and since then it was lost until its rediscovery in 1966. "Blume" = flower, "Blumine" = flowerine. "Blumine" was supposedly the nickname of Gustav Mahler's love interest Johanna Richter, a blonde soprano at the Theatre in Cassel around 1884.

This recording was created with live trumpet player Julius Eiweck, who played his solo part separately, following my tempo instructions. I then mixed his recording with the orchestral accompaniment.

Most of these renditions here are using "Garritan Personal Orchestra 5" samples. I am using the sequencer "Cakewalk" by Bandlab.
